Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to support a welcoming and student-focused district in Yreka, California, for the 20252026 school year. This school-based position is ideal for licensed OTs passionate about helping students build functional independence and achieve success in the classroom and beyond.
About the Role
The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive evaluations, therapy interventions, and consultation services to students across K12 settings. You will work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that students receive individualized support promoting participation, engagement, and motor skill development within educational environments.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in individual and group settings

Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt classroom materials and activities for accessibility and motor skill success

Document student progress and maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations

Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and recommendations for student support

Educate teachers, paraprofessionals, and families on strategies for fine motor, sensory, and self-help skill development

Stay current on best practices and emerging research in pediatric occupational therapy
Qualifications & Requirements

Active California Occupational Therapy License (OT)

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field

NBCOT certification required

Previous experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
